U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder, Jr. will address the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches on Jan. 8. He will talk about the role of the Attorney General in the Obama Administration.
This will be a sell-out event. No advance tickets will be sold prior to receipt by members of their electronic or standard newsletters. There will be no public tickets for the Holder luncheon. Restrictions will be placed on the number of guest tickets members may order.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist, who captured national attention with his recent veto of a controversial proposal to make it easier to fire teachers, closes the Forum Club season June 4 with an analysis of the 2010 state legislative session.
With the governor grabbing front page headlines in his battle with fellow Republicans over legislative issues and his battle for the U.S. Senate, this is expected to be a sellout event.

The highly-contested battle for U.S. Senate. What better way for the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches to open it’s 2010-2011 season? Independent candidate Charlie Crist and Democratic candidate Kendrick Meek will lay out their platforms on Sept. 15. Republican Marco Rubio has declined the club’s invitation because of a scheduling conflict.

When Gov. Rick Scott addressed the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches as a candidate, he promised he would return as governor, if elected. On Feb. 24, Gov. Scott will keep that promise and continue what has become a tradition in hearing annually from our governor.
In his State of the State speech before the legislature earlier this month, the Republican governor turned heads by calling for a $1 billion boost in education spending for Florida’s 2.7 million schoolchildren after last year signing into law a $1.3 billion cut in K-12 money.
